Participants
will:
-
Learn to access data on the web and download to a spreadsheet for manipulation
and analysis.
- Learn
basic tools for the analysis of the local economic structure.
- Learn
how to interpret the results provided by the analytical tools.
- Analyze
how events outside the community (gathered from assigned readings) have
affected its local economy.
- Apply
local economic base theory to the local economy and use it as one tool
for analyzing economic development options which are being or have been
discussed in the community.
- Engage
community members in understanding the local economy.
