Socioeconomic Impact Analysis On-Line Course

By the end of the course, students will:

  1. Understand the key concepts and basic steps for impact assessment
  2. Be able to prepare the information needed to estimate the economic impacts of a project
  3. Understand the basis of the multiplier effect
  4. Know what attributes of a project are important in determining its demographic impacts
  5. Understand the concepts and methods of public service and fiscal impact assessment.
  6. Know how to use socioeconomic impact information in a variety of decision contexts.
