Customer surveys of tourists and visitors to a community that will enable local businesses, event managers and economic development groups to better understand who comes to their community; why they come; what they do and spend while there; and what they consume and spend in the course of a visit. Surveys are developed in partnership with the community, distributed by local volunteers, and analyzed by University of Nebraska personnel. Costs are in most cases minimal, involving the direct expense of printing, mailing and in some cases student (or other) labor costs associated with coding data that are received.
