An intensive, hands-on introduction to basic facilitation techniques, skills, and processes designed for Extension Educators and community partners. The main goal is to increase participants’ comfort with facilitating group process. Participants learn and practice tools for brainstorming, prioritizing and coming to consensus. They each facilitate a 10 minute discussion and a 45 minute session focused on a topic of their choice, followed by extensive written and verbal feedback. They receive a book and a notebook.

 

Format & Time Required:

  • Three consecutive days, including evenings.
  • Held in a retreat-like setting.
