By the end of the program, participants can realize that planning is not just for planners; Recognize different planning frameworks and their components, and be comfortable leading groups in planning processes (visioning, asset mapping, strategic planning, backwards planning, goal setting and action planning); Identify who needs to be involved in planning endeavors; Use strategies to promote stakeholder involvement; Design and project the overall planning process and structure; Identify and access relevant data and information in order to plan more wisely; Normalize inevitable conflict surrounding values and vested interests; Develop ways to evaluate achievement of planning objectives.

 

Format & Time Required:

  • Minimum of 12 hours—ideally a two-day training consisting of six contact hours per day.
