This publication is a collection of 39 papers presented at a conference held November 4-6, 1991; it includes an in-depth examination of three case studies where rural communities have voluntarily formed small scale associations to further their development. To further broaden the multicommunity collaboration perspective, additional case study examples are included: 11 case studies from the North Central region; three specific Canadian experiences; and four examples of multicommunity collaboration emerging in response to a specific issue. Theoretical and practical issues of this rural development strategy, and the applications and future directions in multicommunity collaboration are addressed as well. |
